Advanced Validation (Regular Expressions)

This managed solution allows you to validate any field within your Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 organization using regular expressions!

Using a simple set of configuration records, you simply specify an Entity type, an Attribute to validate, the Regular Expression to validate against, and a Validation Message to be displayed to the user if validation fails - the code does the rest. Simple, reliable, and powerful.

SubGrid - SetFocus

This is a sample solution that allows you to test out the functionality as mentioned in my article here.

The solution has two entities, Parent and Child, which are exposed in the Workplace area. When you create a parent and save the record, the form will reload and set focus to the SubGrid named Children.

I recently had a client request customizations to a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 form which would, upon loading, focus the user input into a SubGrid causing the Ribbon Toolbar to update and reflect the actions available when working with the associated records as defined by the SubGrid.
